I took on freelance work to implement metrics and code from specific papers. I always think the same thing: professors pay too little. Each project runs around 5 to 6 million won, but the amounts coming from labs are nowhere near that. Still, without the reputation I've built, I probably wouldn't have landed the work in the first place.
